Move better. Feel stronger. Reduce tension.
Move better. Feel stronger. Reduce tension.
The Energy Moves is an authentic Pilates studio offering private sessions, small group classes, and supervised open studio.
Guided by Seven Sparks — Master Educator and movement practitioner since 1998, each session is thoughtfully tailored to your body, your goals, and your energy. With decades of experience across disciplines and teaching environments, Seven creates a focused, respectful space where your full potential can emerge, without distraction, interruption, or compromise.
In addition to classical and contemporary Pilates, the studio offers specialized programs for pregnancy, postnatal care, breast cancer recovery, trades workers, dancers, and athletes. Somatic and energy-focused practices are also available in private or small groups, honoring everybody, stage, and goal.
The Energy Moves is a place to learn your body with purpose, build functional strength, and cultivate awareness that carries into everyday life.
Joseph Pilates’ original studio operated as a learning space rather than a class-driven fitness studio. Students were taught the Pilates method as a complete system across all apparatus, developing a program specific to their bodies. Over time, they practiced with increasing independence, while the teacher observed, refined, and guided movement as needed.
The Energy Moves is intentionally modeled on this approach. While the studio offers small, modern formats, the emphasis remains on learning the system, understanding how it works for your body, and building a practice that supports strength, confidence, and long-term independence.
With limited group sizes and a full range of apparatus in an intimate setting, this learning-based model offers a rare depth of instruction in Sonoma County.
At The Energy Moves, Pilates is taught as a system — not a series of disconnected workouts. Clients are guided through the full method, learning how the exercises relate to one another and how they support the body as a whole.
Classes are intentionally small, allowing the teacher to observe movement closely, offer precise corrections, and adjust exercises as needed. The goal is not to create dependence on instruction, but to help each client build understanding, confidence, and clarity in their own practice.
This approach creates a studio environment that feels focused, calm, and purposeful — supporting learning over rushing, and progress over performance.
Classic Mat
(6 Participants Maximum)
A focused small group class rooted in the original Pilates Mat work. 6-person max.
This class follows the classical mat sequence, adapted as needed to support different bodies while maintaining the integrity of the method. Emphasis is placed on precision, breath, coordination, and control — building strength from the center outward.
With a maximum of six participants, the class allows for clear instruction, meaningful corrections, and a steady pace that supports learning rather than rushing.
Best for:
Those who want to build strong fundamentals, improve body awareness, and experience Pilates as a complete system. The Classical Mat is also great for “homework” between sessions.
Apparatus Circuit Class
Reformer · Springboard · Chair · Ped-O-Pull · Cadillac
(8 Participants Maximum)
*Instructor approval needed
A small-group apparatus class designed to teach the system across multiple pieces of classical equipment.
Participants rotate through a thoughtfully structured circuit that includes the Reformer, Springboard, Chair, Ped-O-Pull, and Cadillac. Each apparatus offers a different challenge, allowing the body to organize strength, mobility, and coordination in multiple planes.
This format reflects the traditional studio model, where students learn how the work functions across the system rather than repeating a single piece of equipment.
With limited enrollment, sessions remain focused, efficient, and individualized — even in a shared setting.
Best for:
Clients with previous experience, seeking a deeper understanding of the method, and private clients who would also like to practice on all the equipment in a group setting.
Spring Board Class
(4 Participants Maximum)
A small-group apparatus class focused exclusively on Springboard work using wall-mounted springs. This class offers a grounded, full-body approach to strength, alignment, and coordination without the momentum of a moving carriage.
Participants work through a thoughtfully structured sequence that uses adjustable spring resistance to support and challenge the body at the same time. The Springboard provides clear feedback, encouraging efficient movement patterns, spinal organization, and shoulder stability while building strength without excess tension.
This format supports focused learning and steady pacing, allowing students to experience the depth of the work while receiving individualized guidance within a shared setting.
Best for:
Clients seeking grounding strength, improved posture, and a clear, supportive way to experience the Pilates system.
Supervised Open Studio
(8 Participants Maximum)
A practice space for students who have learned the system and are ready to work independently with guidance available.
During open studio time, clients follow their personalized program across the apparatus while the teacher observes, refines, and offers corrections as needed. This model supports autonomy, consistency, and long-term progress.
Best for:
Experienced students who want to deepen their practice and maintain continuity between sessions.
Specialized Group Classes
(6 Participants Maximum)
Small-group Pilates classes designed to support specific needs and life stages, including Mama Movement, healing and recovery, prenatal and postnatal care, dancers, breast cancer recovery, and trades workers.
These classes use thoughtful sequencing, precise instruction, and adaptable exercises to meet the unique demands of each group. Movement is selected to support strength, mobility, alignment, and resilience while respecting individual differences and recovery needs.
With a maximum of six participants, sessions remain calm, focused, and responsive. This format allows for individualized guidance within a shared practice, supporting confidence, clarity, and steady progress without pressure or overwhelm.
Best for:
Clients seeking intelligent, supportive movement tailored to specific goals, conditions, or physical demands — in a small, respectful group setting.
